Meeting Support
ACI 2011

January 2011 saw CCI's twelfth year managing case review imaging of Britain's largest interventional cardiology meeting, Advanced Cardiovascular Intervention. As well as providing the Cadran Viewer for the high quality displays necessary for clinicians' presentations, CCI staff were on hand to deal with the logistics and optimisation of the event, including five parallel break-out sessions.

BCIS Autumn Meetings

In a long standing partnership with BCIS (the organisation behind ACI), CCI are also involved with the BCIS Autumn Regional Meetings again providing software and support to aid in the smooth running of these meetings.

Leeds Interventional Trainee Course

Cadran Viewer has been used during the Leeds Interventional Trainee Course for the last 5 years.

A Medical Image Archive solution that scales from clinic to enterprise

In October 2010, XenData Archive software was installed at Papworth to complete the implementation of an LTO tape archive storage system that provides intelligent study-centric hierarchical storage management. Integration of the XenData Archive Series software with the Cadran Image Storage Management solution produces an image archive which optimises the distribution of data between disk and tape. Off-line studies may be brought back on-line automatically from the tape library for rapid access. A second copy of every tape is prepared for off-site archive. In case of disaster recovery, the system can be easily restored from tape.

Cadran ISM is also able to operate on a workstation using XenData's stand alone drive solution providing individual departments or small clinics with a data storage solution that would otherwise not be possible. See www.xendata.com for more information.

Encrypted CD writing Software released

April 2009 saw the release of a new utility to the Cadran Suite of software which enables users of the CadranISM data storage system to write AES encrypted CDs in order to send patient data to other interested parties. This software was produced in line with current NHS guidelines to ensure that all patient data being transported elsewhere was done so in a secure manner.

This software has been installed in Papworth Hospital and Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital.

Microsoft Certification Achieved

October 2008 saw Cadran ISM and Cadran Viewer pass Microsoft's Certification programme giving Cambridge Computed Imaging Microsoft Partnership status.

Update to DICOM Sending Software released

January 2008 saw the release of the Cadran Send Wizard utility and the CadranISM upgrade to support this new tool. This tool enables the user to control and manage the sending of DICOM studies to other hospitals. It enables the sending to take place at times when the networks involved are under less strain e.g. overnight. The data is transferred directly without the need of third party involvement or intervention.

This system is in use at Peterborough Hospital, Papworth Hospital and Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital.

Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

June 2007 saw the installation of a CadranISM Cardiology Archive for the Cardiology Department of Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. This archive provides primary storage for all NNUH's angiography and echo cardiology data. Consultants are able to diagnose and review the data using Cadran Viewer Diagnostic at their desks.
