New: The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust

In February 2011, the Cadran DICOM sending suite of software was installed at Ipswich Hospital, connecting them to the East Anglia Cardiac Network. This adds to the growing number of hospitals in the East Anglia region that use the Cadran software system for their Cardiology Image sharing needs. CCI Software has been used for the routine transfer of image data for over 6 years in the East Anglia region.

Cambridge Computed Imaging teams with Sybermedica to launch Cardiac Image Exchange

Cambridge Computed Imaging has announced that it has teamed with Sybermedica to launch a new service enabling rapid transfer and remote reviewing of cardiology images. The new service, that was launched at the BCIS ACI Conference in London at the end of January 2011, is designed to support the development and delivery of cardiac services by multi-site multi-disciplinary clinical teams.

In line with the NHS 'Equity and Excellence' initiative, the new Cardiac Image Exchange will enable cardiology teams to deliver safe and efficient cardiac services even where there is significant geographic or organisational separation between team members. Connecting to the service takes only a few minutes and can be acheived with no IT support. Images can be uploaded from PACS or CD and images can be shared with both NHS and non-NHS partners.
